We will be in the private first class parlor car and, once on board, we will enjoy a two-hour train ride through the Secret Valley and back with an elegant afternoon tea party.
The parlor car is not air conditioned, but it is well insulated and the windows will be open while the train travels through woods of the valley with a nice breeze, so please prepare accordingly. We’ve also offered our event to the Colebrookdale Railroad (a non -profit organization) for special photography purposes so they can begin advertising for bridal shower bookings; so, please come in your nicest, if you can. (If some/ few of you can do 1930-1940’s-like dress, that’s even better!). The rail car is elegantly decorated in 1920-1930s, and we’d love to provide encouragement as they work to preserve our local history.
(Please be sure to RSVP by June 9th, and please be careful to accept only if you can ABSOLUTELY come. Seating is limited, and we do have some who would really like to come if you aren't able to. Thank you!)
We wanted to have this very special day where Jason has spent years serving and loving church members and camp children. These places and the people there are a very important part of his life and hold very happy memories for him.
